CASTERLY - Caster/Camber Plate for AZ-1/Cara Coilovers

$185.00

When you lower your Autozam AZ-1 / Suzuki Cara, your suspension geometry will change and be adversely affected mainly because the caster will turn negative as you lower the car more from stock.

Now what? I lowered my car the minimum amount for the rear and adjusted my front accordingly and my caster became -7.1 and -6.8 degrees. Spec is 3.58 degrees positive. With this much negative caster, your steering becomes very much like a shopping cart!

We know fitting this plate in the “MAX” version will push your caster about 10-10.5 degrees positive. This is the maximum size adjustment available without modifying anything on the car and keeping the camber adjustment available in the strut tower hole. It is highly likely this is the way you will want it.

The plate is made of powder coated 1/4” steel and will be fitted with flush press in studs and come with stainless nuts.

Items you will receive:

2x - CASTERLY plates
4x - Stainless flanged nuts

Part is Made in USA

Installation is easy. Remove the coilover from the vehicle. Undo the 4 camber bolts on top and remove the plate. Swap the new plate on, make sure you have the correct orientation and put the camber bolts back on. A specialty alignment is recommended as I have found some shops not do the extra camber stuff and only do the toe adjustment.

This plate MAY fit other coilovers on the Autozam AZ-1 and Suzuki Cara and MAYBE even other cars but I am not aware of this situation. It would take some measurements to confirm. I am only confirming it will fit the NAVIC brand coilovers as this is what I have.

Version 1.0 was the original batch that was spray painted.

Version 2.0 is powdercoated matte black with improved manufacturing.

Check out the two alignment sheets below for comparison. Notably the Caster readings of -7.1 and -6.8 in the front becoming 3.55 and 3.57 nearly spot on to spec of 3.58
