Cooling System
Coolant Capacity: 5 liters (1.1 gallon)
OEM cap pressure: 0.9 bar
The cooling system is pressurized with the cap at the expansion tank. The radiator can be accessed in the frunk with by removing the panel that covers the AC condenser and radiator. The radiator has two petcocks one on top for bleeding and the bottom can be used for draining.
Fun fact: The radiator is reversible, there is no up or down it can be installed “upside down” as it is symmetrical.

Seat Fabric
Looking for new fabric to restore your torn or faded blue fabric to like original black/dark charcoal. Look for fabric from a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The charcoal color fabric is the exact pattern of the AZ-1/Cara fabric. I cannot comment on the color because I have never seen the car when it was new to confirm but it looks very good compared to the brochures.
The inserts are just a red or blue colored tweed fabric. Find one with stitching close to what the original looks like.

Door Strut/Dampers
More than likely the original struts are old and tired. They can be dangerous if it cannot support the door as the door can come down and hit you in the head.
It seems like new genuine replacement struts are still available to buy here and there. They are kind of expensive at roughly $100ea before commissions and shipping. Your car will need 4 of them.
There are many cheap new ones available on Yahoo Auctions Japan. You should be wary of those ones are they may look like the real thing but they tend to be too strong coupled without soft opening. This puts a lot of stress on your door strut mounting point on the frame. It can fatigue the thin sheet metal and eventually fail. These cheap ones can be found for about $18-30ea. What a bargain right?? The best way to tell between the YAJ vs the genuine Mazda/Suzuki strut is obviously by the presentation of them within the original packaging and the number of grooves on the body.
The genuine struts have 2 grooves on the body where the shaft goes in and out. The YAJ generic ones have only one.
I have a source on making new ones just like the originals with proper strength and soft open but they’re not finished yet. ETA early 2023

Short Throw Shifter Mod
Shorten the stroke between your gears to help decrease shifting effort/time.
This mod involves welding, so either you need to know how to weld or have to get someone to do it for you. Follow the link here to see how it’s done. Click Here
